Pinnawala – Elephant Orphanage (Entrance Not Included)
Pinnawela Orphanage is situated in Rambukkana, northwest of the town Kegalla, halfway between the present capital Colombo and the ancient royal residence Kandy in the hills of central Sri Lanka. It was established 1975 by the Sri Lanka Wildlife department. This 24 acres large elephant orphanage is a also breeding pace for elephants, the first elephant baby was born in 1984, and it has the greatest herd of elephants in captivity in the world. Between 1975 and 2012, 67 animals were born here.

Located in the foothills of the central highlands, Kandy, Sri Lanka’s renowned second city is a beautiful city, surrounded by hills and valleys, rivers, lakes and cascading waterfalls. 129 Km away from Colombo Kandy, the charming hill capital, is the centre of Sri Lanka’s rich culture and a World Heritage City or it may be said that Kandy is a perfect place to explore the unique history and the beautiful culture simultaneously. Popularly known as Maha Nuwara (means “The Great City”) among most of Sri Lankans, Kandy is full of magnificent architecture displaying Indian and Sinhalese designs. It is a most sacred city for Buddhists with numerous temples and shrines, based on Buddhist architecture. Kandy was declared as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1988.

Kandy Lakeside walk – This lake created by King Sri Wickramaragasingha, the last king of ancient Sri Lanka. This was built at the center of the city and when you get there you can see a picturesque view of the city from different angles. When you walk around the lake side you will see birds/Monkeis on the ground and different types of fish that not afraid of human. This is a very relaxing walk around the lake with cool breeze coming over the lake.

  • Day 2 : Kandy After Breakfast Proceed to Kandy City & Sightseen

Kandy city tour The most famous landmark of Kandy is its lake, in the center of the city. Visit the Kandy Museum. Later visit the temple of the sacred tooth relic of Buddha. The Kandy market is a great bazaar full of the sounds of exiting trade. You will experience the Gem museums, art and craft centers during your shopping.

Temple of the Tooth Relic (Entrance Not Included) – is a temple in the city of Kandy in Sri Lanka. It was built within the royal palace complex which houses the one of the two surviving relic of the tooth of Buddha, an object of veneration for Buddhists.

gardens, Peradeniya which is well known for its large number and variety of plants, ornamental, Decorative, Useful & medicinal. More than 4000 species include indigenous and introduced plants. This garden is best known for its collection of orchids the largest in Asia.

During the evening hours enjoy the Dance performances conducted by Sri Lankan traditional dancers.

The Cultural Dance Performance – This is a dance performance conducted by Traditional dancers and drummer of Sri Lanka. They perform various types of dance activities which are inheriting to different states of the country. This is a very colorful dance performance which you can enjoy the beat of Sri Lankan arts and culture.

Nuwara Eliya
Nuwara Eliya, the "city of lights," is the highest town in Sri Lanka and that means a break from the oppressive heat and humidity that surrounds the rest of the country. Situated at around 2000m above sea level and surrounded by lush tea plantations. Nuwara Eliya is the main hill resort of Sri Lanka and the heart of the tea industry. This city with an elevation of 6200 meters is the highest in Sri Lanka. Once a pleasure retreats of the European planters the town is still very much an English town with many English style bungalows and buildings.

Nuwara Eliya is a good escape for those who miss cool breeze in tropical Sri Lanka at any time of the year. Local tourists flock to this town in their 'season' from March to May when it is the hottest duration for the town, April being the busiest. Nuwara Eliya offers many activities for tourists including visits to Tea Plantations,Golfing, Horse Riding, Boating, Hiking and of course exploring the beauty of the landscaped gardens, waterfalls and plateaus. Hemmed in by three of the highest mountains in the country; Piduruthalagala, the Great Western and Haggala, the city looks very isolated. Yet it's just a four hour drive from Colombo. Excellent walks and drives, exceptionally good golf on the 18 Hole Course, one of the best in Asia. Trout hatchery, market, gardens of flowers, fruits and vegetables, not commonly associated with Sri Lanka, Haggala Botanical Garden famous for its collection of roses and the rare fernery. Thanks to the cool climes this is one city where you can never work up a sweat.

Hakgala Botantical Gardens (Entrance Not Included)
This about 28hectares in extent, lie under the shadow of the hakgala rock. The botanic gardens are locally reputed for their collection, the rose garden and magnificent trees, indoor plants and other flowers. And this is a part of the Raamayanaya. King Ravana kept the depressed Sita, insisting that she marries him. It was here where the heartwarming meeting took place between her and Hanuman, who brought her Rama’s ring with the news that Rama was looking for her. He offered to carry her back but she refused saying it would be an insult to Rama’s honor if she did so. Part of this majestic garden still exists. It is also said that Hanuman nearly destroyed it in order to prove to Ravana of the forces against him.

Sri Lanka is undoubtedly one of the world’s best nature reservations. The main characterized by beautiful landscape of rolling hills, covered in upper mountain forest and wet patina grassland. This is home for a wide range of flora, species and mammals such as deer, elk, giant squirrel, wild boar, wild hare, porcupine and leopard. Baker’s fall, Chimmini Pool and “Worlds end” are other major attractions of this national park.

This is made up of two farms, Ambewela farm and New Zealand Farm. This is blessed with cool climates and pristine environment. They produce best quality milk products to local market with use of modern technology and top quality pasture where cattle graze freely. In addition to cattle, Ambewela farm has rabbits, pigs and goats. The farm cultivates different varieties of vegetable and potato seeds. When you visit Ambewela farm you will be able to visit Cheese factory, Goat yard and many other animals.

Kithulgala – This is a small city with many adventurous activities. The Academy award winning move “The Bridge of river Kwawi” was filmed on the Kelani River near Kithulgala, although nothing remains now except the concrete foundation for the bridge Kithulgala is base for while water rafting. You can trek through the Kelani Valley forest reserve with many amazing birds and butterflies. Trekking through jungles and mountains, biking on mountains, swimming in natural swimming pools and white water rafting are some of the activities at kithulgala. (Entrance Not Included)

Madu River (Entrance Not Included)- Other Optional activities en-route – A boat Ride along Madhu River in Balapiya. Balapitiya is one of the last remaining tracts of pristine mangrove forests in Sri Lanka. A boat trip is a wonderful way of seeing some of the hundreds of species of plants and animals such as monkeys, water monitor lizards, cormorants, egrets & kingfishers just to name a few. prey. There are around 64 islands in the river and lagoon & about 250 families there in are engaged in producing cinnamon fishing & and prawn fishing. Proceed to Bentota, arrive at the beach hotel & relax.

Turtle Hatchery (Entrance Not Included)- In Kogoda, visit a Turtle Hatchery established to protect Sri Lanka's turtles from extinction. The hatchery pays fishermen for eggs that they collect at night along the sandy beach. Visitors can see huge tanks filled with new born turtle hatchlings. After being fed, the baby turtles are taken to the sea and released when they are 2-4 days old, usually during the safer hours of darkness. Although October to April is the main laying season, some eggs can be found at Kosgoda throughout the year.

Colombo is the largest city of Sri Lanka and its commercial capital. The city is strategically located on the east west trade route and is a major business hub of the country. The city serves as a major port and the largest financial center of Sri Lanka. Colombo is a blend of old and the new. The city is bestowed with some of the most beautiful historic sites.

The city is also the most modernized city of Sri Lanka. The most famous architecture of the city includes the Dutch Era buildings, the British era buildings and the Colombo Fort. Colombo is a city of many festivals. The most important festival of Colombo is the celebration of Lord Buddha's Birth, Enlightenment and Death. The city of Colombo is decorated with lanterns during this festival. The festival takes place in the month of May. The other major festival that is celebrated in Colombo is Christmas. The city of Colombo is also the Media and the Fashion center of Sri Lanka.

Night Life
A few years ago, Colombo was lacking in a variety of nightlife. Recently however, a rash of nightspots has popped up in a short space of time giving everyone who likes to indulge in such activities, more options. Although there are several nightclubs and bars catering to young adults, those with live bands (mostly of excellent standard), are very popular with a more mature clientele
