Who can fail to fall for the charms of this seductive city on the banks of the Guadalquivir River? Discover the history and secrets behind this magical orange-scented city on an informative morning tour. You have a choice of two itineraries: the classical tour or the historical tour. Beautiful Seville has many impressive monuments dating back over the centuries. The Moors' legacy of marvelous architecture includes the Gothic cathedral with its Giralda, a minaret transformed into a Christian bell tower. After visiting the cathedral you will see the Torre del Oro (Golden Tower) by the Guadalquivir River, where important documents relating to the nautical history of Seville are stored. The Torre del Oro is closed on Mondays, when a visit to the Macarena Church will be included instead. You'll also enjoy panoramic views of Seville by coach. Discover the architecture of Seville in 1929, when the Iberoamerican Exhibition took place in the capital of Andalucia. You'll travel by coach to the Plaza de America and the Pabellon Mudejar by the Maria Luisa Gardens. Continuing to the city center, you'll pay a visit to the Alcazar Royal Palace, a fantastic example of the Moorish style with gorgeous tile mosaics, shady courtyards and Moorish and Renaissance gardens. The tour finishes in the narrow streets and tiny squares of the Santa Cruz quarter, Seville's historic Jewish district. After lunch make your own way to Seville Rail Station to board your train to Cordoba. You will be in Cordoba in an hours time. Arrive in Cordoba and make your own way to your hotel. Cardoba is a historic city in Andalusia, southern Spain, boasts an exceptionally rich historical and cultural heritage. Standing on a sweep of R????o Guadalquivir with countryside stretching far in every direction around, Cardoba is both a sophisticated metropolis and the heart of a very rural part of Andaluc????a. Apart from its great historical attractions, it's also today a thriving modern city with great restaurants, thronged taverns and a hip nightlife. The best time to visit is between mid-April and mid-June, when the skies are big and blue, the temperatures are just right, and the city's beautiful patios and old lanes are at their best, dripping with foliage and blooms. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight stay at your hotel in Cordoba.

  • Day 4 : Cordoba – Madrid

Enjoy Buffet breakfast at the hotel. Check out of the hotel. Meet your guide in the indicated area to start a fabulous walking tour of Cordoba. This walking tour through the streets of Cordoba will really allow you to get to know the history and traditions of this intriguing city, with its beguiling mix of Roman, Arabic and Spanish history. See the magnificent Cathedral, converted within an original mosque when the Christians conquered Cordoba in 1236. Modifications took 234 years, so the original Gothic style is combined with Baroque and Renaissance elements. Remarkable are the Cardinal's Chapel and its treasure, including a monstrance of Enrique de Arfe, an ivory crucifix of Alonso Cano and important sculptures and paintings. Also visit the Alcazar de los Reyes Cristianos, the Palace of the Christian Kings, built in 1328 by Alfonso XI. In the interior of the palace there are remarkable Arabian baths, Roman mosaics and a sarcophagus of marble from 3rd Century. Originally there were four towers at the corners of the Alcazar, three of which can be seen still today: the Torre de Los Leones, the oldest, which forms the entrance to the palace, the octagonal Torre del Homenaje and the round Torre del Rio. The fourth tower, Torre de la Vela, was destroyed in 19th century. As you wander through the Jewish Quarter, going back to the time of the Romans and Goths, you will notice many important monuments reminding one of the most important sons of Cordoba: Roman philosopher Seneca, Arabian philosopher Averroes and Jewish philosopher Maimonides. Here you can find also one of the few synagogues existing today in Spain, this one built in 1315. Close to it there is the Bullfight-Museum. In the Zoco you can find traditional artisans and, in summer, watch Flamenco performances. In the evening make your own way to Cordoba Rail Station to board your train to Madrid. Arrive Madrid and transfer to the hotel on your own. Overnight stay at your hotel in Madrid.
